Ways You Can Help
Most importantly – pledge with us to pick up ONE piece of trash each day in our public spaces. Use common
sense and safety. (For instance, pick up drinking containers by the bottom, avoid “tissues” as it’s
not worth any kind of contamination, don’t touch glass or sharp metal objects). If in doubt don’t touch
anything you feel uncomfortable about. If you pick up ONE piece of trash you’ve done your part! This action
costs nothing and might even provide a few minutes of exercise for you.
Convey to friends and family to
do the above!
Start with your own home and outdoor spaces.
Instill in children not only to avoid
discarding trash but to pick up ONE piece every day and become excited about the idea of cleaning up our ENTIRE environment.
ONE small step – ONE piece of trash – ONE person – in ONE day – you’ve contributed to
improving our environment.
CONTRIBUTE to our mass media effort! EVERY penny counts. Forty-Two
cents buys us a stamp to mail a letter or postcard! Every penny – every person – every day.
Organize
in your own communities trash pick up days and at the same time convey our message of continuing to pick up ONE piece at a
time.
Contact us with your own ideas, pictures (trashy scenes, before/after shots) – whatever ideas
you have we value. We want to hear from anyone and share ideas and thoughts.
START LOOKING AROUND
AND YOU WILL SEE TRASH EVERYWHERE!
Are you ONE of us? Please join our efforts.
